About me

Born and raised in a small town in central Burma, I am a tenacious cook at the Standard Hotel in NYC. Often time, I was asked - what Burmese foods like? In central Burma, a nice warm soup, a steamed or stir-fried seasonal veggie, side pickles, a curry or a stew paired with steamed rice on a banana leaf comprise a typical family dinner. However, it's all about noodles in the north - served hot or cold as you prefer - with ridiculously delicious broth poured on your noodle or on the side. Oh, you like spice and heat - try Southern Burmese foods; the best seafood dishes are from the South. Burmese cuisine is one-of-a-kind - I want to take you and your friends a journey throughout Burma by presenting local dishes from different regions.
