About me

I have always been drawn to food. As a child, even before learning to walk, if my mom lost track of me she would often find me in the tomato patch, gleefully chomping away. I was raised in Italy by a French mother and a Tunisian father. Both my parents being interpreters meant they traveled a lot, and often took my brother and me with them. This opened my eyes to traveling the world in search of delicious food, and I have spent the rest of my life doing just that.

I got my first taste of restaurant life at the age of 17, while working as a dishwasher one summer in Amsterdam. I loved it. I eventually decided to study Hotel & Tourism Management at New York University and supplemented my income working as a waiter. After graduation, and a brief stint in restaurant management, I went to Paris for a kitchen internship. Since then I have cooked in a number of restaurants in Rome, Oaxaca, and NYC, ranging from fine-dining establishments to BBQ joints.

Food is my undying passion in life, and I look forward to sharing it with you!
