About me

Dan is the current Sous Chef at Piccino SF. Growing up in Glen Ellyn, Illinois he was nestled 30 minutes from the heart of downtown Chicago. He started working in the restaurant industry in 2009 as a Prep Cook at Flight 112 in Elmhurst after attending the College of DuPage for culinary arts. He worked his way up and eventually became the lead line cook at Fire & Wine in Glen Ellyn. After two years, he explored the city of Chicago more in depth, and worked at Michelin- starred Longman & Eagle and Spiaggia. It was in 2017 that Daniel came to San Francisco and started his time at Piccino.

Carlo grew up in Manila, Philippines, where he gets his love for a mix of Spanish, Chinese, Indian and American flavors. He started his career out as a Graphic Artist and moved to San Francisco in 2016, and after a few months, decided to follow his passion for food and pursue a professional career in cooking. Food, however, was an intrinsic part of growing up for him. He was constantly found in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends at gatherings, and used food to show creativity and extend love. He is currently a Line Cook at Piccino SF.
