About me

yia soo feelay (hello friend)! as a descendant of Asia Minor refugees & Cretan immigrants to Athens Greece, i was exposed to the mediteranean way of cooking very early. my mom, aunts & grandmothers were using many veggies, spices, sauces & oil in their cooking.

my uncle was a tavern owner & i remember big old barels of retsina wine all over the place. no wonder why since 2005 i make my own red dry wine at the same spot he made his.

as a traveler & an outdoorsman, i got acquainted with & grew a passion for whatever grows or is being produced in this sunny corner of the planet. any kind of cheese, pie or bread that comes out of these products is a small treasure for me, worth exploring & experimenting with.
